There was once a shepherd who had a flock of a hundred sheep. Every day, he would lead them to graze in the fields and would count them to make sure they were all there. One day, he noticed that one of the sheep was missing.
The shepherd searched high and low for the lost sheep, leaving the other ninety-nine behind. He searched through the mountains, the valleys, and the forests, calling out for the lost sheep. Finally, he found the sheep trapped in a thicket, unable to move.
The shepherd lifted the sheep onto his shoulders and carried it all the way back to the flock. The other sheep were overjoyed to see their lost companion, and the shepherd rejoiced that he had found the lost sheep.
This story is based on the parable of the lost sheep from the Bible, found in Luke 15:3-7. The parable teaches us about the love and care that God has for each and every one of us, and how He will never give up on us, even if we are lost.
