Nathan Stand Up Comedy Show: “Faith”

  • by

“Hello, everyone! It’s great to be here tonight. As you can tell, I’m a Christian. And you know what they say about us Christians, right? We love our faith like we love our coffee – strong and with a little bit of cream on top.”

The audience chuckles as Nathan continues. “But seriously, my faith is very important to me. I’m not perfect, of course. I’ve had my moments of doubt and struggle. But that’s where faith comes in. As the Bible says, ‘Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.’ (Hebrews 11:1)”

Nathan pauses for a moment before continuing with a joke. “Speaking of not seeing, have you ever noticed how some Christians seem to be really bad at using technology? Like, they can barely turn on their phone, but they’re always quick to tell you how they have a direct line to God.”

The audience laughs, and Nathan grins. “Don’t worry, I’m not one of those Christians. I can use a phone just fine. Although, to be honest, sometimes I wish God had a phone number I could call. Like, ‘Hey God, I’m feeling a little lost today. Can you help me out?’ But then again, that’s what prayer is for.”

Nathan takes a sip of water before continuing. “You know, I think one of the coolest things about being a Christian is that we’re all part of one big family. And like any family, we have our quirks. Like, have you ever noticed how some Christians always end their prayers with ‘In Jesus’ name, Amen,’ even when they’re just asking for something simple like a parking spot?”

The audience chuckles again, and Nathan smiles. “But you know what, I think it’s beautiful. It’s a reminder that we’re all connected through our faith, and that we believe in something bigger than ourselves.”

Nathan takes a deep breath before delivering his closing joke. “In conclusion, being a Christian isn’t always easy. We have our ups and downs, our doubts and fears. But at the end of the day, it’s a journey worth taking. And like the Bible says, ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength.’ (Philippians 4:13)”

The audience erupts into applause, and Nathan takes a bow. “Thank you all so much. Have a blessed night.”
